Welcome to Spring Quarter! Basic Class Info

This course is an intro to Photoshop CS5, beginners level. Whether studying design, photography or studying culinary arts, we all need to be able to showcase our work in a professional manner and Photoshop can help us do that. In this 11 week course, we will learn how to manipulate images for the purpose of creating a professional looking portfolio, online and printed. For each homework assignment, you are encouraged to use what we have learned in class on YOUR OWN images. By the end of the class, you will have created an online portfolio that highlights your best work and you'll have a link to send out.

Course Description:
Students develop basic image manipulation skills in a Mac lab using Adobe Photoshop CS5. Emphasis is placed on mastering the fundamentals of scanning, color management, photo retouching, imaging, special effects and filters and masks.
